RUCKUS OVER RESERVATION WILL START AGAIN IN THE STATE FROM TODAY
RUCKUS OVER RESERVATION WILL START AGAIN IN THE STATE FROM TODAY
CHHOTA AKHBAR.
Once again there will be a big uproar regarding
reservation in the state. This time Gurjars will not fight against Jats on
reservation. Bharatpur-Dholpur Jat community has announced a massive protest
near the railway station of Jaicholi village of Uchain from January 17,
demanding OBC reservation. Before the announcement of the Mahapadav, a
delegation had met the Collector and SP, but the police has appealed to
withdraw the movement. Bharatpur-Dholpur Jat Reservation Struggle Committee has
announced to hold a Mahapadav.
The administration has taken the announcement of
Mahapadav seriously. Regarding this, on January 16, IG Rupinder Singh,
Collector Lok Bandhu and Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa reached
Jaicholi and took stock of the arrangements there.
Officials of Reservation Struggle Committee said
that they have united all the Jats and appealed that this is the fight for the
future of our children. He said that now there is a triple engine government in
Rajasthan because the CM is also from our district, so we will definitely get
justice.
BJP's central government snatched Jat OBC
reservation
Let us tell you that Bharatpur-Dholpur Jats have
been demanding reservation since 1998. In the year 2013, when Manmohan Singh
was in power at the Centre, the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur and other 9
states were given OBC reservation at the Centre. But when BJP's Modi government
came in the year 2014, taking the help of the Supreme Court, on August 10,
2015, OBC reservation for the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur was abolished both
in the center and the state. After this, Jats again adopted the path of
agitation demanding reservation. Then, after a long fight, on August 3, 2017,
the Vasundhara government gave the benefit of OBC reservation in the state to
the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur. But the benefit of OBC reservation has not
been restored by the Centre. The Jat community had given an ultimatum till
January 17 demanding restoration of the Jat OBC reservation snatched away by
the Central Government.
