DEVNANI AND WATER SUPPLY DEPARTMENT
DEVNANI AND WATER SUPPLY DEPARTMENT
CHHOTA AKHBAR.
On January 10, the news was published in all the
leading newspapers of Ajmer that Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani reprimanded
the officials of the water supply department for there being no improvement in
the drinking water problem of Ajmer, saying that most of the areas of the city
are still under 72. Water is being supplied with an interval of 96 hours.
Whatever Devnani said was true because this is the reality. The daily Navjyoti
newspaper of January 9 also published news about the faltering drinking water
supply in the city.
About a month ago, Mr. Devnani had warned these officials that if the drinking water problem of Ajmer was not improved in 15 days, strict action would be taken. This news was published in all the newspapers of the city but now again Devnani had to give a warning, then why? It means that the water supply department blew away that warning of Devnani. 15 days and one month have passed but the situation remains the same. Even now they are just giving warnings. Sir, those whose habits have deteriorated do not improve by blowing. Your threat had no effect on these officers; on the contrary, they defied your warning by getting their views published through a newspaper on 29 December. The surprising thing is that in this very news the entire temper of the water supply officers was exposed. Amazing, ten days ago this news was published that the pipe lines have been repaired, now there is no drinking water problem anywhere. And now Devnani ji is saying that even now the supply is being made in 72 and 96 hours instead of 48 hours. In such a situation, who is lying, the water supply department, the reporter or Devnani. Whereas the reality is that supplies are being made in the city only on the fourth day.
It was written in the said news that after the
warning of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, the water supply department took
up the task of repairing the leakage. The department claimed that 125 leakages
have been repaired in seven days. Due to this the water pressure has increased.
Consumers are no longer facing any problem regarding water supply. Surprise,
huge surprise. The supplies come twice a week and in such a short time they
have also verified that no one is facing any problem in the entire city. One
thing is missing from this whole news that Devnani had warned to make
arrangements for distribution of drinking water within 48 hours but there was
no statement on it, just other things were written which have nothing to do
with that warning. Then why did Devnani ji have to repeat the same thing again
yesterday? No one has such a good temper that he can spoil the image of a
newspaper, and the one who is responsible for taking care of these things
should also take care of what the reporters are doing at his place and if he is
not paying attention then the owners will have to pay attention. One should pay
attention to what is happening in their newspapers.
The ability of the journalist is amazing. There
are 80 wards in Ajmer city but it did not mention where the supply had
improved. Shri Devnani had given a warning to improve the water supply problem,
but his version was not given in the news, only what the water supply officials
said was printed. Whereas it is a rule that when publishing news on any major
issue, both its versions should be published, then that news is called
complete. But no, it ended by publishing the reference of AEN, ZEN and XEN.
Interesting thing is that this news was
published in the issue of 29th December and yesterday on 10th January in the
same newspaper, against the earlier published news, the news was published from
Mr. Devnani's version that despite my warning, there is no improvement in the
drinking water distribution system of the city. Happened. Meaning that this
news declared the news published in the same newspaper 10 days ago as fake.
it's embarrassing.
The reality is that the officers who are stuck
at one place for five years become careless towards their responsibilities.
Devnani ji, you should be strict regarding the drinking water distribution
system of the city, mere warnings do not make anyone's path straight. The
surprising thing is that you have seen, known and experienced the tricks of
these officers for the whole five years and yet only a warning is given again.
Two years ago, there was a water crisis in the
Journalist Colony of Ajmer due to some scammers. These same officers came there
a few times in the name of investigation and sat in the garden of the colony
with some of the journalists they met, drank tea and chatted and went away. The
problem remained the same. Even today, water is being distributed in the city
not at an interval of 48 hours but at an interval of 72 and 96 hours and there
is no trace of the time on that. Supply is made at any time.
There is a specialty in Rajasthan Patrika
newspaper that as soon as the management comes to know about its journalists
doing any trick or cheating, they are immediately thrown out here and there by
the management. Earlier, some such faces had appeared in this newspaper, later
some were thrown out and some were transferred here and there to teach a
lesson. Such people also came who used to try to call the Collector at a
moment's notice, but the management took away all their intoxication. Such
situations had once happened in Bhaskar too, then I reported to the Bhopal head
office with proofs, the result of which was that the management from there came
here for inquiry and they changed a lot of things here. After this, I received
a letter from the management Mr. Sudhir Aggarwal in which he had written that I
am grateful that you keep guiding us.
Wherever the management does not keep an eye on
its employees, there are people who misuse their position. This happened a lot
in Navjyoti. Rajasthan Patrika also needs to be re-looked and Navjyoti
management also needs to keep a little watch because sometimes outsiders are
using the newspaper as a template for themselves.
